Prayer for America 05/11/06

God, America is more than just millions of people. We’re also millions of families. Some of those families have been here since the first boats arrived. Others are disembarking today, ready to start brand new lives on our shores. But, Lord, you know our nation will never be stronger than our families.

So, God, I ask that you make the families of this nation strong. Help moms and dads build on the foundation of your truth. Help them grow in your love. Help them remain committed to each other. Help younger family members honor and respect those who are older. Help older members impart honest wisdom to the young. Help all families be bound in warm unity and deep love.
