Prayer for America 06/05/06

Dear God, sometimes I feel like I live on a swiftly tilting planet with changes swirling around me: changes in relationships and addresses, changes in styles of worship and styles of living, changes in people and causes I trust. Keep me rooted, God, in the one thing that does not change: your love for me, for my country, and for all the world’s people. In the whirlwind of my life, please remind me of the security of your unchanging presence and love. Lead me to a quiet place today where I can sit beside the still waters and be renewed by the constant truth of our world, our nation, and my life.
