Prayer for America 06/23/06

God, you have blessed this nation with a depth and width of variety that is nearly incomprehensible:
trees with leaves, palms, and needles
weather from warm to cold, rainy to dry, windy to calm
water that is fresh and water that is salty
birds that swim and birds that fly
wildlife that runs, creeps, slinks, and slithers
mountains that soar, hills that rise, plains that stretch, valleys that dip, and canyons that descend
clouds that are fingered, puffed, dotted, and dispersed
people that are tall and short, dark and light, young and old.

Our land is filled with every shape, every size, every color, every texture, every this, and every that. What a glorious gift you've given us, God. Thank you. Amen.
