Prayer for America 09/12/05

These are mean-spirited times, and we quake and shudder. Tend us, loving Creator, and shelter us in the palm of your hand against all that would uproot and destroy us. We are the flowers of your field.

Tragedy often serves as a wake-up call to the heart, urging strangers to step away from themselves and move toward others. Neighbors who never knew each other suddenly realize that the world id much friendlier when they reach out in friendship.
